This is an e-mail I received from the indoor center regarding our first game:
Hey Everyone!!
Here is the update for Friday night...sorry it took so long!
Coed Teams: Scrimmages (no refs)...still only need 2 girls on field at all
times
Death Killers vs. The Plague (7:00)
Barley's vs. Triangle Play (8:00)
Games will start next Friday, June 2nd...we
will play everything the same, i.e. three 16-minute periods, shinguards
MANDATORY, Coed rules still apply, etc. You should plan on wearing cleats
on the new turf...you may not get enough grip out of regular indoor shoes or
turf shoes. We will be playing 6-v-6 games with medium size goals (still
upright).
Memorial Stadium is behind McCormick Field, where the Tourists play.
If you're coming from the North (Charlotte Street South, left onto Biltmore
Ave), take a left at the CITGO onto McCormick Drive, then a quick right up
the hill. You will pass the parking area for McCormick Field as you follow
the road up...at the fork, go to the left and you will see the parking lot
for Memorial Stadium ahead of you.
If you're coming from the South (Biltmore Avenue, pass Mission Hospitals),
take a right onto McCormick Drive by the CITGO, then a quick right up the
hill. You will pass the parking area for McCormick Field as you follow the
road up...at the fork, go to the left and you will see the parking lot for
Memorial Stadium ahead of you.
I will be in the office from 2:00-9:00 Thursday afternoon and 3:00-6:00
